A hearing in the case of James Holmes -- the man suspected of killing 12 people and wounding dozens of others during a shooting spree at an Aurora, Colo. screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" in July -- has been delayed, after Holmes reportedly rammed his head into a wall at the Arapahoe County Jail on Tuesday, according to the Denver Post. Holmes was hospitalized after the incident.

TMZ reports that Holmes has made multiple, though "half-hearted," suicide attempts while in jail, including falling backwards while standing on the bed in his cell in an apparent attempt to crack his skull.

Arapahoe County District Court Judge William Sylvester bumped the hearing back from Dec. 10 to Dec. 13. During the hearing, lawyers will discuss how information about the package that Holmes sent to his psychiatrist got leaked to the media, among other matters.

Public defender Tamara Brady declined to confirm her client's injury, claiming that divulging details of his "medical or psychiatric information" would compromise her ability to keep other personal matters confidential.
